Nintendo reduces Gamecube price

In an effort to increase its market share, Nintendo who recently decided to change its upcoming console name from "Revolution" to "Wii" has decided to drop the price of its Gamecube later this month.

Over at Gamestop one of the employees mentioned something about 'marketing materials for price change on the Gamecube'.

According to the marketing material which is set for use from May 3 to May 23 which is the company's next marketing period, includes Gamecube's "New Low Price," according to the employee.

The material did not have any information on the price of Gamecube, the marketing material also had a note that the new material was sent out to stores so that they will have enough time to get prepared if a drop in price was announced.
