Microsoft Sells 500,000 Windows Mobile OSes in Single Deal

Microsoft landed its biggest deal for Windows Mobile with the U.S. Census Bureau. The deal covers 500,000 handsets. The U.S. Census Bureau will use the Windows handset in the 2010 Census. It is not known what the dollar value of the deal is and which company the handsets provides.

Windows Mobile is now ready to take on Palm OS and Blackberry. Palm anyway already switched sides. Blackberry will have a hard battle in front of them.
