Sims 2 University ships Wednesday

Aspyr Media on Tuesday announced that The Sims 2 University — an expansion pack for The Sims 2 — has gone “gold master” and is expected to ship starting WEdnesday. It costs US$34.99 and has been rated T for Teen by the ESRB.

The Sims 2 is the sequel to the best selling computer game ever — it lets you help virtual people, called Sims, find careers, loves, decorate their homes and more. The Sims 2 University adds the ability for players to explore the lives of young adult Sims as they experience college. Players can learn “influence points” to have other Sims help them with homework, term papers, cleaning the frat house and pulling pranks. Players can choose from one of 11 majors, and open up four new career paths.

System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later, G4/1.2GHz or faster, 256MB RAM, 2GB hard disk space, ATI Radeon 9000 or Nvidia GeForce FX5200 or better with at least 32MB RAM, and DVD drive.
