Google adds widgets to their homepage

As the comptetion gets stiffer between the three giants namely - Google, Yahoo, and Microsoft. Google has released their own version of widgets. But instead of adding them to your desktop and consuming valuable resources they all run from your Google homepage.
  • Modules are so easy to create that they are a good starting point if you are just learning about web programming. The Google Homepage API consists of a few simple building blocks: XML, HTML, and JavaScript. To get started, all you need is a basic understanding of HTML. We will teach you all you need to know about XML to write modules.
